Visual identity design for The Library Restaurant in Norwich. The restaurant is split into sections such as Romance, Poetry and Art, but would spread across many subjects that you would find in a library. Inspired by the aesthetic of old books and libraries, I hand crafted drop caps for each section and also created a pattern for each such as ink splatters for Art. Each table has its own drop cap, strapline and pattern.
Printed onto a paper stock reminiscent of book pages with added shimmering copper foiled lettering, the identity aims to create an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication. The identity for each table spreads across a custom menu, placemat, tote bag, postcard and conversation starters, which ask questions about the subject matter to spark intellectual debate.
